It may feel a little unusual to start this series by introducing myself first, but perhaps it is also the most natural way to begin. Cavomarina Beach Hotel is, above all, a story about people, and I would like to share a little bit of my own story before introducing the wonderful team that gives this hotel its heart and soul every day.
I was born in Berlin and grew up between Germany, Spain, France and, today, Greece. This mix of cultures has shaped not only my life, but also the way I understand hospitality: open, warm, personal and full of character.
After many years in hotel management, leading luxury hotels, holiday clubs and large resort hotels, with a strong specialization in Food & Beverage, I reached a point where I wanted something different. Shortly before reaching complete burnout, I decided to take on this wonderful family project: Cavomarina Beach Hotel. And what a journey it has been.
Of course, this journey also means being away from my family more often than I would like. I miss my two daughters, Sophia and Noa, very much. Luckily, they come to visit me often, and Corfu has become a special place for them too. Sophia, who is a singer, has even used the beauty of this island as the setting for some of her music videos. Over the years, we have managed to bring together a truly special team. People who love what they do, who care deeply about our guests, and who come to work every day with one simple goal: to make sure that every guest enjoys unforgettable days with us.
We enjoy working together. We laugh, we help each other, we solve every little issue together, and we try to put heart into every detail. We are a team in the real sense of the word, and we believe our guests can feel that.
For us, every satisfied new guest is a success. Every returning guest is a gift. And every guest who becomes a friend of Cavomarina is one of the greatest achievements we can imagine.
This is what Cavomarina means to me: a hotel by the sea, yes, but even more than that, a place full of people who care.
